We recommend checking your health insurance details before your consultation to see what Orthodontic cover you may have. For clear aligner treatment, quote item number 825 per arch. For removable replacement retainers, quote item 811 per arch.

Health Insurance FAQs
Yes! If you have extras cover that includes orthodontics, you may be able to claim part of your Urban Smile clear aligner treatment. Each insurer is different, so it’s best to check with your provider for the specifics of your policy, annual limits, and lifetime orthodontic limits.
We recommend you check with your insurance provider to understand your entitlements. You can provide item number 825 x2 (upper and lower arches) for clear aligner treatment.
The amount you can claim varies depending on:
- Your health fund and level of cover
- Your remaining annual and lifetime orthodontic limits
- Whether you’ve claimed for orthodontics in the past
Some patients can receive up to $2,500 back on their treatment – so it’s definitely worth asking!
Once you begin treatment, we’ll provide a detailed tax invoice you can submit to your insurer. We’re here to help make the process as smooth as possible, and if you need assistance, just ask our studio team.
We also have a HICAPS machine in each of our studios for on the spot claims for teeth cleans.

We recognize that orthodontic treatment is an investment. We accept cash and all major credits cards – Visa, MasterCard and American Express.
We also accept Buy Now Pay Later providers Humm, Afterpay and Zip Money and a more traditional finance option called TLC.
The item codes listed below are used by health insurers to identify specific services. You can provide these codes to your insurer to check your coverage or visit your local studio, where we can provide an on-the-spot quote based on your plan:
- Clear Aligners: Code 825 per arch (upper and lower aligners)
- Removable Replacement Retainer: Code 811 per arch
- Bonded Retainer: Code 845 per arch
- Bonded Retainer Removal and Repair: Code 872
- Express Teeth Clean: Codes 013, 114 or may also be included under general dental coverage
